Pedro Torrez took USSL Single A by storm this year and he did it all at the age of 24.

For his spectacular campaign, the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 star has been named the 2020 USSL Single A Most Valuable Player Award recipient.

"To be considered amongst the best in the league is pretty overwhelming," said the first baseman.

On the season he compiled a .261 batting average to go with a .362 on-base percentage. The native of San Juan, Puerto Rico also added 17 doubles, no triples, 15 home runs, 45 RBIs and 45 runs scored.

Juan Aguirre of the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 finished second in voting, while Tony Farquharson of the Walla Walla Walleye finished third.
