SA Presents Player of the Week Trophy Monday, August 10th, 2020 24-year-old Pedro Torrez made a few Phoenix headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Single A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .524 average. Torrez collected 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 5 runs. Thus far this year Torrez is hitting .254 with 12 home runs, 31 RBIs and 35 runs scored. |
