Vidro Hitless, Streak Ends at 22 Friday, August 2nd, 2019 The hitting streak that Richland shortstop Miguel Vidro had going was ended today by the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. Vidro, who had hits in his previous 22 games, was stymied today, but the rest of his team picked him up, earning the Rails a 4-1 victory at Rails Ballpark. He was hitless in 2 at-bats. "Hitting streaks come and go. One good thing came out of it, however, it perked up my batting average a little bit, but did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with the streak always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." Thus far this year Vidro is batting .268 with 2 home runs, 29 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
