Burgos Selected MAA's Premier Batter Wednesday, October 16th, 2019 2019 was an outstanding year for Virginia Beach first baseman Álex Burgos and it was capped off today by the announcement that he is the winner of the M3L Double A Outstanding Hitter Award. This season Burgos compiled a .350 batting average and a .435 on-base percentage. In 86 games he delivered 108 hits, including 23 doubles, no triples and 25 home runs. He finished the year with 74 RBIs and 66 runs scored.Ismael Cabrera of the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds finished second in voting, while Wayne Cameron of the Battle Ground Aeros finished third. |
