Escobar Wins MAA Player of the Week Trophy Monday, September 9th, 2019 Over the past week, Álex Escobar has feasted on M3L Double A pitching. Today the Virginia Beach Deuces shortstop gobbled up the league's latest Player of the Week Award. Escobar swung the bat with purpose all week as he collected a .481 average, 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
