25-Game Hitting Streak for Griffin Tuesday, May 21st, 2019 The Hotspur Reserves proved to be mere mortals today as they lost to the Buzz 7-6, but Greg Griffin continued his god-like hitting as he collected 2 hits and ran his hitting streak to 25 games. When asked about his torrid-hitting left fielder, the Phoenix skipper said, "Griffin is playing great and is on fire now. Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Griffin was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said, "We lost the game. Nothing else really matters." Greg Griffin walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Javier Mora in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Javier Mora in the 6th and walked in the 8th. To date, Griffin has collected 7 hits for a .412 average. He has posted 3 home runs, scored 5 runs and driven in 4 runs. |
