Yang Belts 3 HR Against Vermont Friday, August 23rd, 2019 Ji-chol Yang showed some power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the Vermont Lake Monsters and sparked the Dodos to a 8-7 victory. For the day he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBIs. In the postgame press conference he told reporters, "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good. I always have liked to hit here at Monster Field." "He was instant offense today," the Hialeah skipper said. "Ji-chol really put on a show." Ji-chol Yang hit a two-run home run off Ed Jacobs in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Alexander Allen in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th and hit a two-run home run off Austin Brown in the 6th. This year Yang is batting .244 with 47 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 31 times and has batted in 33 runs. |
