Wiley Will Sit Out 4 Games, Suspended by League Wednesday, July 31st, 2019 Oakland's Alden Wiley has been given a 4-game suspension for his outburst following an ejection in a recent game with the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Lumberjacks Ballpark. He was called out on a third strike by the plate umpire and halted the game to argue about it. The disgusted Wiley slowly walked back to the dugout with bat in hand, but suddenly turned around and headed toward the umpire. He was stopped by the on-deck hitter and third base coach as his manager continued to argue the call. A moment later, Wiley was ejected. So far this year, Wiley is batting .274 with 5 home runs and 25 RBIs. |
