5-Hit Blitz by Detroit's Alvarado Wednesday, August 21st, 2019 "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Detroit first baseman Eduardo Alvarado said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the Vancouver Grey Wolves at Reapers Ballpark. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Reapers had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 8-5. Eduardo Alvarado singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. For the year Alvarado is batting .319 with 14 home runs, 36 RBIs and 25 runs scored. |
