Positive Drug Test Sidelines Huigen for 80 Games
Monday, September 30th, 2019
In violation of league rules, Filip Huigen of the BC recently tested positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance and now has been suspended by the league office for 80 games. The 17-year-old center fielder, when he was approached by reporters, just waved them off, choosing to make no comment.
The Lexington owner, however, commented in an interview, "This saddens me. These players must play by the rules on the field. When will they learn you have to play by the rules off the field, too? Sooner or later you will get caught, if you break the rules."
