Wilcox Parks 3 for Brooklyn Friday, August 23rd, 2019 Atlanta won't soon forget the display of raw power put on today by Thom Wilcox of the Brooklyn Dodgers. He victimized the Smoke by pounding three pitches out of Smoke Ballpark. The homers sparked his club to a 7-3 win and got him a spot in the league record book. "I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," Wilcox told reporters. "Today I was in a groove ... tomorrow I could just pop up the same pitches and go oh-for-three." In addition to the homers, he collected 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs. Thom Wilcox hit a solo-shot off Christian Pitts in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Christian Pitts in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Fred Pitts in the 9th. Wilcox is hitting .386 in 2019 with 64 RBIs and 22 home runs. |
