Hit Streak Now at 25 for Jones Thursday, August 22nd, 2019 The Boston Patriots stopped the Louisville Slugs today 6-2 and Tommy Jones was able to hit safely again. The Boston center fielder got 3 hits and ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25. Jones was excited after the victory and told the press, "I want to get a hit every time up. I want to get a hit every game I play. I want to win every game for the greatest fans in the world, Patriots fans!" Tommy Jones singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th. So far in 2019 Jones is batting .460 with 5 home runs, 26 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 81 hits in 176 at-bats and a .513 OBP. |
