Star of the Week Named in UAA Monday, May 28th, 2018 So far in his young career, Alberto Torres has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USPL Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 19-year-old Phoenix Hotspur Youth first baseman hit at a torrid .556 clip as he collected 15 hits in 27 at-bats, no home runs, 9 RBIs and 5 runs scored. For the season Torres is currently batting .387 with 1 home run and 14 RBIs. In 19 games he has reached base at a .446 rate and scored 12 runs to date. |
