Coasties Reliever Wins 2018 Outstanding Pitcher Award Friday, September 21st, 2018 It is a rare occurrence, but it happened this year. A reliever, Jesús López of the Coasties, has been voted the 2018 Outstanding Pitcher Award winner in the M3L Double A. The Portsmouth relief specialist starred with no saves in 14 relief appearances, logging 142 innings, 144 strikeouts, 53 walks and a 4.50 ERA. López finished the season with a 13-5 record.Bob McGhee of the Portsmouth Coasties finished second in voting, while Phil Frost of the San Bernardino Grasshoppers finished third. |
