Today at Ricochets Ballpark the Glenburn first baseman really burned Salem pitching, going 5-for-6 in the Baboons 20-10 triumph. "When he's seeing the ball well," his skipper told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Jim Vaughan walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Vaughan is hitting .348 for the season with 15 home runs, 70 RBIs and 65 runs scored. He has 126 hits in 362 at-bats and played in 93 games. |
