July's Best MAA Hitter is Seth Varela Wednesday, August 1st, 2018 For a rookie just breaking in, Seth Varela certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the MAA Batter of the Month award for July. The 27-year-old first baseman for the Portsmouth Coasties hit .386 with 14 home runs, 41 RBIs and 26 runs scored. For the year Varela is batting .334 with 31 home runs, 107 RBIs and 71 runs scored. |
