Terns Blount Has 15 Ks Friday, June 22nd, 2018 Nick Blount of the Seattle Terns really put on a pitching clinic today at Seattle Grounds as he struck out 15 Elkford Roadrunners in a 6-0 victory. Blount, who is 3rd in the in WHIP with 1.29, was simply magnificent as he held the Roadrunners to 36 hits. He walked 10. "My fastball was okay," Blount said, "but my breaking stuff really hurt them. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Blount's performance, the Terns manager shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was pretty good out there today. He was dominating today." In season stats Blount shows a 3-0 record in 7 games, 35.2 innings, 41 strikeouts and a 3.79 ERA. |
