Hits Galore: Blanton Drills 5 Hits Monday, August 27th, 2018 "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Wichita's Ron Blanton told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well." It definitely turned out well for Blanton today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Warwick. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Outriders knocked off the Hunchbacks 11-7 at Hunchbacks Ballpark. Ron Blanton was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th. So far this season Blanton has 1 home run and a .275 batting average. |
