McPherson Stretches Hit String to 20 Saturday, August 25th, 2018 Nobody has been able to shut down Ernie McPherson of the Rocks in recent games. Today at Rocks Ballpark he picked up 2 hits in the Lévis 5-3 victory over the Buccaneers and stretched his hitting string to 20 consecutive games. Ernie McPherson singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Rudy Jenkins in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. McPherson has collected 122 hits for the Rocks this year, 14 of them home runs. He has also netted 66 RBIs and scored 62 runs while batting .392. |
