Massey Bangs 3 HR Against Augusta Wednesday, July 18th, 2018 Jimmy Massey, the Corpus Christi first baseman, blasted three homers today at Twins Ballpark in the Twins 15-6 victory against the Augusta Timber Hawks. For the game, Jimmy Massey scored 3 times and knocked in 3 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Massey, when he reached home plate. In the clubhouse after the game, he gleefully said to the press, "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-5, three roundtrippers and a win. What a day!" So far on the season Massey is hitting .265 with 5 home runs, 12 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 13 hits and played in 13 games. |
