Díaz Sensational, 5-5 Thursday, July 5th, 2018 Players get multihit games all the time. But a 5-hit game comes around only once in a blue moon. It happened at Rocks Ballpark when Juan Díaz of Brinkley scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Lévis Rocks. He walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Belugas get by the Rocks 11-7. In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the center fielder of the Belugas said, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-5. I could get used to a lot of days like this one." Juan Díaz hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. In the current season, Díaz has put up a .302 batting average with 54 hits, 2 home runs, 16 RBI and scored 25 runs. |
