5-5 Day for Wilcox Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Brinkley's George Wilcox told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well." It definitely turned out well for Wilcox today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Augusta. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Belugas knocked off the Timber Hawks 5-3 at Timber Hawks Ballpark. George Wilcox hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. So far this year Wilcox is batting .347 with 4 home runs, 19 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
