Beasley Removed; Fired by Panama City Piranhas
Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018
All is not well in Panama City. Bill Beasley's tenure as the Piranhas skipper might end up being remembered more for a memorable exit than for anything he accomplished on the baseball diamond. Beasley was fired as the manager of the Panama City Piranhas today and didn't take the news particularly well. Upon hearing of his termination, Beasley immediately went to the owner's office, where he laid into the Piranhas major decision-maker with an expletive-filled tirade behind closed doors. "He called me pretty much every name in the book. It wasn't pretty," said the Panama City owner. "I'd say Bill was simply reacting in the heat of the moment. Overall though, I would have preferred a classier exit." After his verbal ambush of the team owner, Beasley stormed out of the stadium and was not immediately available for comment. Club officials have scheduled a meeting tomorrow to appoint an interim manager and begin the search for Beasley's replacemant.
