Thunder Bay's David Smith Injured
Thursday, October 4th, 2018
David Smith at first refused to leave today's Jacksonville-Thunder Bay game after he suffered a torn meniscus while running the bases. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Thunder Bay right fielder said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Smith out of action for 6 weeks.

Smith is currently batting .367 with 7 home runs and 49 RBIs.
