Chicago, Hartford Trade Made Friday, November 2nd, 2018 The Baseball News Network is reporting that Chicago and Hartford have agreed in principle to a swap that will send 30-year-old starting pitcher Guillermo Pérez and 29-year-old third baseman Norm Ortega to the Whalers with 25-year-old third baseman Tyrone Scott joining the Gold Sox. Chicago's general manager would not confirm the trade, but a team representative close to the negotiations said the deal is official and is now only awaiting approval from the league. During his career Ortega is batting .284 and has totaled 13 home runs. Scott has 138 career hits with a .311 batting average and 22 home runs. |
