Alvarado Week's Best in PL Monday, September 24th, 2018 In the twilight of his career, 39-year-old Eduardo Alvarado of Detroit recaptured some of the old magic last week and came away with the Premier League Player of the Week Award. "I've been playing since I was a kid," Alvarado told reporters, "but you're never too old to feel the thrill of success." Alvarado outpaced the rest of the league's hitters last week, reeling off 10 hits in 23 at-bats, 3 home runs, and 9 RBIs to stake his claim to the award. Thus far this year Alvarado is hitting .259 with 24 home runs, 53 RBIs and 47 runs scored. |
