Carter 5-6 for SC
Friday, August 1st, 2014
It was a sensational day at the plate for Bryan Carter, but a letdown as well as the Storm dropped the game 13-11 to the Tide.

Nonetheless the SC third baseman was pure misery for the Tuscaloosa pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.

"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win. That's the important thing," Carter said.

The manager of the Tide told BNN reporters after the game, "Carter put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw him some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Bryan Carter hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and singled in the 10th.

Carter has a .270 average and a .316 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 57 hits, 14 home runs and driven in 39 runs.
