Northern Virginia's Brown Collects July Batting Honor Friday, August 1st, 2014 Though his face is weathered and his hands are calloused, Don Brown can still get it done in United States Silver League. In fact, the 35-year-old catcher for Northern Virginia was named the League 2 Batter of the Month today after putting up an impressive performance at the plate. In July he batted .391 with 14 home runs, 27 RBIs and 27 runs scored. So far this year, Brown is batting .444 with 44 home runs and 100 RBIs. |
