González Injury Update Sunday, August 24th, 2014 Francisco González will have to wait a while longer. The Phoenix second baseman was informed this afternoon that he will miss another 6 weeks with a sprained ankle. The injury has kept him off the field since 08/20/2014. Though González had hoped to return soon, he has no choice but to be patient. "Gotta stay focused," he said. "Gotta stay positive." In 102 games this season González is batting .233 with 91 hits and 7 home runs. He has scored 54 runs and driven in 33. |
