September's Best Hurler in SL2 Is Wilcox Tuesday, October 1st, 2030 In September when Gilbert Fire Fighters reliever Todd Wilcox was beckoned in from the bullpen, it spelled "Relief" with a capital "R." He usually put a very quick end to any budding rallies. For his sensational mound work he was voted the Sub League 2 Pitcher of the Month. The Gilbert reliever had no saves for the month with a 4-0 record and 2.21 ERA. He made 10 relief appearances, hurled 20.1 innings, yielded 14 hits, fanned 19 and walked 6. Wilcox has compiled an ERA of 2.11 so far this season, winning 6 games with 2 losses and no saves. In 18 relief appearances he has hurled 38.1 innings, yielded 32 hits and struck out 36.
