September's Best Hurler in SL2 Is Johnston Monday, October 1st, 2029 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Eugene Johnston, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Fort Collins Commoners reliever, 22, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .171 average and walked away with the Sub League 2 Pitcher of the Month award for September. Johnston posted a 4-0 mark and a 1.37 ERA in no relief appearances. In 39.1 innings, he had no saves, 40 strikeouts, and 11 walks. Johnston has no saves this season with a won-lost record of 9-4 and 4.50 ERA. |
