Scovell Has 31-Game Hitting Streak Wednesday, May 15th, 2030 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Vince Scovell did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Mount Pleasant HS Grounds today. For the last 31 games in a row, the 17-year-old first baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Mountain Pointe HS beat the Masconomet HS Chieftans 5-2 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Scovell told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Mountain Pointe HS clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Vince Scovell struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and walked in the 9th. Scovell is hitting .380 in 2030 with 48 RBIs and 10 home runs. |
