South Carolina Loses Miguel López, Will Miss Season
Monday, April 30th, 2029
The season is finished for Miguel López of the South Carolina Gamecocks. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Gamecocks starting pitcher suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Maryland Terrapins. Team doctors said it would take at least 13-14 months to heal.

This season López has compiled a 0-0 mark with a 2.84 ERA in 7 starts.
