Top APL (24 & Under) Pitcher Announced Tuesday, October 15th, 2030 The Nantucket clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Jason Willis will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2030 Appalachian League Outstanding Pitcher Award. Willis made 0 starts this year, winning 9 and losing 0. He threw 89 innings, fanned 98, allowed 53 hits and 35 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .174 average as he logged an impressive 1.01 ERA. Ralph Williams of the Pensacola Pilots finished second in voting, while Rafael Reyes of the Athens Assassins finished third. |
