Roberto Mercado Injured, Out for Year Saturday, August 31st, 2030 Roberto Mercado will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the El Paso reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Mercado was injured while throwing a pitch in the Texans-Assassins clash at The Guild recently. Doctors said he has a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and would be out a minimum of 13 months. Mercado has taken the mound for 8 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-1 record with a 3.09 ERA. The El Paso reliever has limited opposing batters to a .200 batting average. |
