Scorpions Chávez Gets No-Hitter Wednesday, August 14th, 2030 Scottsdale Scorpions starter Jorge Chávez was unhittable today at Goodyear Field. Chávez beat the El Paso Texans 4-0, breezing through the Texans lineup en route to a no-hitter. "I thought Jorge started off a little slow and was struggling with his command at first," Scorpions manager Melvin Patterson said later. "He lucked his way through the early innings, and they helped him out by not being patient. Eventually, it all came together for him, and from there on the Texans never had a chance. He dominated them." Chávez struck out 10 batters and issued 2 walks in the performance. This year Chávez has posted a record of 5 wins and 5 losses with a 2.41 ERA.
