Guerrero Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games

Lee's Summit lost to the Evanston Elitists 5-2 at The Den today, but José Guerrero kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 2 hits. The Tigers center fielder has now delivered hits in 25 straight games.

"José has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Lee's Summit manager León Gonzáles told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had."
José Guerrero struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Dorsey in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

So far this season Guerrero has 8 home runs and a .330 batting average.
