Aliaga Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Monday, September 2nd, 2030 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Esteban Aliaga did it again, bashing 3 hits in the contest at Mi Gusta Place today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 22-year-old center fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Casper Ghosts beat the Bismarck Barons 7-5 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Aliaga told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Casper clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Esteban Aliaga hit a solo-shot off Esteban García in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th. This season Aliaga has hit at a .324 clip with 56 RBIs, 5 home runs and 87 runs scored. He has played in 81 games. |
