Calgary Loses Sánchez for Year Saturday, September 14th, 2030 Mario Sánchez of the Cowboys just might have to call it quits for the season. The 35-year-old Calgary right fielder received a possible season-ending injury against the Spokane Trappers recently at Bill Robinson Field. Sánchez suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament while running the bases. The Cowboys medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 7-8 months. This season Sánchez has banged out 33 hits in 114 at-bats for a .289 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .344 pace and his totals also include 22 RBIs and 12 runs scored. |
