Trenton's Starter Receives ITL Pitching Award Tuesday, October 1st, 2030 There's something about a young rookie winning the International League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Roberto Carrillo, a 25-year-old starter for the Trenton Stars. In September, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 4.01 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 24.2 innings, fanned 23 and held opposing teams to a .224 average. So far this season, Carrillo has logged a 9-3 record with a 5.31 ERA. He has started 21 games, hurled 122 innings and registered 119 strikeouts and 78 walks. |
