Detroit Loses Stanley for Year Monday, September 2nd, 2030 Vaughn Stanley of the X-Wings just might have to call it quits for the season. The 28-year-old Detroit reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Trenton Stars recently at Trenton Stadium. Stanley suffered shoulder inflammation while throwing a pitch. The X-Wings medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 8 months. This year Stanley has registered no saves in 5 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 2-7 won-lost mark with a 8.14 ERA. In 42 innings he has fanned 23. |
