Murray's Hit Streak Reaches 31 Games Wednesday, August 7th, 2030 The number just keeps getting higher. Tuscaloosa right fielder Ed Murray has now extended his hitting string to 31 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 4 at-bats as the Tuscaloosa took the 12-3 win over the Memphis Redbirds at Tuscaloosa Municipal Stadium. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Memphis manager Luis Torres said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Ed Murray singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. Murray on the season is batting .504 with 1 home run.
