Sánchez Hits in 25 Consecutive Games Saturday, September 21st, 2030 Arturo Sánchez's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 25 games. The New Orleans third baseman smacked 1 hit against the Orlando Calrissian in today's game at Mel Fields, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Looters drop the game, 5-4. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Arturo Sánchez hit an RBI double in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This year Sánchez has hit at a .335 pace and produced 98 RBIs, 20 home runs and scored 112 runs. |
