The Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese topped the Pocatello Bellas, 5-3, in Continental League action at Hawthrone Grill. The player of the game was Kalamazoo pitcher and Villa de Cura, Venezuela native Salvador Castro. Víctor Reyes notched his 16th save in 17 chances. With the victory, the Royale with Cheese record now stands at 28-34.
Zander Tremblett, who is tied for 8th in the CL with a .335 batting average, contributed to the Kalamazoo win with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Castro.
