Late Rally by Knights Secures Win

Well, that's how to end a game in style.
The New York Knights defeated the Kenilworth Aces, 7-3. Earning player of the game honors was right fielder José Peralta, who was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The win was credited to Sancho Mendoza in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Robinson Gonzáles took the loss.
Peralta had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Alfonso Ramos, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Knights a 7-3 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Peralta.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Peralta told the New York News.
Even with the win, the Knights have a dismal 14-34 record.
