Molendijk Rips Wilmington for 5 Hits
White Sox center fielder Giel Molendijk had his way with Wilmington pitching today at Miller Park and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Rebels ruined his great day by toppling the White Sox, 19-9.

"I had a great day, but you've got to give Wilmington credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits."

"Oh, we noticed what Molendijk did today," Rebels skipper Chris Harris said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him."

Giel Molendijk doubled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.

Molendijk is hitting .276 so far this season with 15 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 21 hits including 2 home runs, 9 walks and .356 OBP.
