Austin rode a fine outing from starter Troy Lynn to victory over the Kalamazoo Royale with Cheese at Greendale Community Field. The final score was 4-2. Austin reliever Pedro Leal got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Drake Williams was tagged with the loss. Austin is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 12th win in 32 games.

Austin won the game in the bottom of the 15th inning. With two outs and Drake Williams on the mound for Kalamazoo, shortstop Russell Peck hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing River Sharks fans to their feet.

"There's no quit in this team," said River Sharks manager Manny Pueblo.
