The rain at Greendale Community Field did not keep Austin and Portland from finishing their game.

Austin River Sharks starter Brian Just pitched a strong game against the Portland Cards at Greendale Community Field, leading the River Sharks to a 4-2 win. The River Sharks, with just their 8th win so far in 2030, have yet to catch fire.

The River Sharks got a big at-bat from center fielder Enrico Vargas. For the game, Vargas was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 34th hit of the season gave Austin a 4-2 lead.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Vargas. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
