G-Strings Bang Out 6-0 Win Versus Portland
|
Nashville G-Strings starter Matt Parker was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Portland Cards, 6-0. The Cards, at 5-18, have stumbled out of the gate.
Eric Thompson, who is tied for 3rd in the CL with a .400 batting average, aided the Nashville cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"It's a mindset," said Parker. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
