Multi-HR Day for Lara as Aces Overpower 84s, 4-2

Fans at Michigan & Trumbull were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Greenville 84s take on the Kenilworth Aces.
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Andrés Lara, the Kenilworth Aces defeated the Greenville 84s, 4-2. Lara belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Aces. José Martínez, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 16-3.
Lara contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Kenilworth in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Lara took a changeup from Darrell Harding and stroked the home run to left. His 27th home run of the season allowed the Aces to leap in front, 2-1.
"I felt good up there," said Lara. "I saw the ball well."
The Aces own a robust 86-48 mark.
